Rainwater harvesting law's in place, but who will act on it?
Did you know that it is mandatory for every household to have a rooftop rainwater harvesting system wherever the groundwater level is below 8 meters?
The Central Ground Water Authority had issued a notification to this effect way back in 2001, with even a deadline of March 2002.
But its poor implementation is evident because you have to struggle hard to even think of a house or a building that has done rainwater harvesting.
