EMFM As Per CGWB

EMFM stands for “Electromagnetic Flow Meter”. It is a device used to measure the flow rate of conductive liquids (such as water) in pipes. The principle behind an electromagnetic flow meter involves Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction. When a conductive fluid flows through a magnetic field, it induces a voltage proportional to the flow velocity. This voltage is then used to calculate the flow rate.

Ground Water Level Monitoring by CGWB:
The Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) periodically monitors groundwater levels across India on a regional scale. This monitoring network includes about 25,000 monitoring stations called National Hydrograph Network Stations (NHNS). These stations consist of open dug wells and purpose-built bore/tube wells (called piezometers) for water level measurements.
CGWB conducts groundwater level measurements four times a year (in March/April/May, August, November, and January).
They have also initiated automatic high-frequency monitoring using Digital Water Level Recorders (DWLRs) with telemetry systems.
The data collected is stored in the Water Information and Management System (WIMS) maintained by the National Water Informatics Centre (NWIC).

If you were referring to something specific related to groundwater monitoring or EMFM in a different context, please provide additional details, and I’ll be happy to assist further!
