The Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) mandates the installation of digital water flow meters with telemetry for groundwater extraction monitoring. Here are the technical specifications for these meters:

Flow range for different sizes:
DN40: 0.5 lps to 5 lps
DN100: 3 lps to 30 lps
DN150: 13 lps to 130 lps
Accuracy: Better than ±2% for the operating flow range.
Telemetry System Features:
Tamper-proof design with proper mechanical and electronic sealing.
Data stored in the meter even if telemetry system is off due to power failure.
Transmit the following parameters to a secure cloud:
Cumulative forward flow volume
Cumulative reverse flow volume
Cumulative net volume
Cumulative pump working hours
Meter serial number
Device last calibration date
Borewell ID (provided by CGWA)
Communication:
Data transmitted at least twice daily.
Battery life of at least 3 years with 2 transmissions per day.
Cloud-based Data Management Software accessible via web portal.
