Miyawaki - Allegiance Water Management
The Miyawaki method is an afforestation technique developed by Allegiance Water Mangement in Rajpipla.
Species Selection: Identify native plant species suited to the area. These species are termed “Potential Natural Vegetation.”
Soil Improvement: Enhance the soil by adding organic material.
Dense Planting: Plant native tree seedlings and understory plants densely (about three seedlings per square meter) to mimic a natural forest.
Weed Removal: Remove weeds for up to three years after planting.
